The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is a professional degree that focuses on intensive work in visual art and design supported by a program in general studies. The BFA degree is intended to prepare students to pursue a professional career in the visual arts.

At Colorado Mesa University we offer two separate Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees, both of which are designed to be completed in four years. Students studying within the Art and Design Department can pursue a BFA in Art with concentrations in art education (K-12) or studio art. We offer a BFA degree in Graphic Design with a concentration in visual design. We offer a BFA in Animation, Film, Photography and Motion Design. We also offer a BA in Art History.
